These Terms of Service describe the relationship between Markato Autos Japan, the Japan-based premium auto export brand and customer support service, and customers who use this website or contact us about importing premium vehicles from Japan.
1. Our role
Markato Autos Japan acts as the Japan-based premium auto export brand and customer support service for buyers who want to import premium vehicles from Japan. The vehicle sale, official quotation, contract, invoice and export process are handled by our Japanese exporting partner. Markato Autos Japan supports you in Kenya throughout the process from inquiry through Kenya-side arrival.
2. Catalogue vehicles
The vehicles shown on this website indicate models we can source from Japanese auction options. They do not represent owned local stock in Kenya. Specific vehicles, photos and quotations are sent privately after you share your requirements, and are always subject to availability and exporter confirmation.
3. Quotations
Quotations are issued as CFR Mombasa unless stated otherwise in writing. Quotations are subject to vehicle availability and to exporter confirmation. Quotation validity may be limited and is governed by the exporter’s written terms.
4. Payment
Vehicle payments are governed by the official exporter-issued documents (contract or proforma invoice). Payment is made only by international bank transfer to the official Japanese exporter bank account stated on those documents. Markato Autos Japan does not accept vehicle purchase funds on behalf of the exporter and does not request payment to any personal account, Kenyan bank account or mobile money number.
5. Kenya-side costs
Kenya import duty, VAT, IDF, RDL or other applicable charges, customs clearance, port fees, registration and inland delivery are separate from any CFR Mombasa quotation unless expressly included in writing. See the Import Cost Disclaimer.
6. Deposit and refunds
The deposit and refund treatment is governed by the Japanese exporter’s written quotation, invoice or contract and by the Deposit & Refund Policy. Please read both before transferring money.
7. Used vehicles
All vehicles offered are used vehicles. They are sourced and inspected in line with the agreed specifications and the QISJ inspection process arranged before shipment, but they are not new vehicles and must not be represented as fault-free. Some maintenance, wear items or cosmetic adjustments may be required after import. See the Deposit & Refund Policy.
8. JUMVEA verification
Our Japanese exporting partner is JUMVEA-verified. You can verify the exporter through the official JUMVEA member directory before any payment.
9. Communication
By submitting a form or contacting us on WhatsApp, you consent to be contacted by the Kenya team and, where relevant, by our Japanese exporting partner regarding your inquiry. See the Privacy Policy.
10. Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version applies to any new inquiry submitted after the last-updated date shown above.
